Domestic Abuse Support Services

BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN'S TRUST COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

The aim of this tender is to ensure that families who are affected by domestic abuse are able to access support at the earliest opportunity through Early Help and Family Hubs in their local community. We want to prevent families living with domestic abuse and the harm it causes to the non abusive parent and their children in order to ensure children and young people are able to be safe, happy and healthy and prevent costly statutory involvement. Success will mean significant progress towards these outcomes: • healthy, happy, resilient children living in families free from domestic abuse. • the non-abusive parent and their children are supported to recover from the harm that domestic abuse causes. • The non-abusive parent is supported to care for their children • children able to attend, learn and achieve at school. • young people ready for and contributing to adult life. • children and young people safe from harm. • a safe and stable home for the family. • a reduction in contacts and referrals to Birmingham Children’s Trust. The contract will commence on 1st October 2026 and will be in place for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 (1 + 1) years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Regulation 44 Visitor service

BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN'S TRUST COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Birmingham Children's Trust requires a provider to deliver a monthly Regulation 44 Visitor Service for Birmingham Children's Trust internal residential homes and produce a report thereon. The purpose of the Service is to ensure that the day-to-day care provided in Birmingham Children's Trust residential homes for children meets the required Quality Standards and that the Reg 44 Officer employed to undertake the Reg 44 visits, will provide critical and constructive feedback to improve services and highlight areas of good practice in accordance with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. This critical feedback will serve as an early indicator of the likely outcome of any Ofsted inspection of the homes.

Birmingham Virtual School Educational Wellbeing Service

Birmingham City Council

Birmingham Virtual School (BVS) seeks to commission an early intervention and prevention Educational Well-Being Service. This service will enrich the educational experiences of children who are looked-after, previously looked-after, or known to social care in Birmingham. The aim is to maximise educational achievement, inclusion and progression by addressing individual needs with specific focus on: (1) preparing for and taking public examinations and tests; and (2) supporting vulnerable children through normal admissions round school-to-school transitions. The service will deliver programmes and direct support that: • Prepare and support children and young people to revise for and sit national examinations/tests (e.g., SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels, and equivalent). • Support confident school transitions at key stages (Pre-1 to Reception, Reception to Year 1, Infant to Junior, Year 6 to Year 7, Year 8 to Year 9, Year 11 to Post-16, Year 13 to Year 14 or Higher Education/employment/training). The contract is estimated to commence on 2nd January 2027 and will be in place for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
